A handcrafted statement pendant made in the UK, a genuine near-rectangular red jasper stone, fully wire-woven in oxidised copper with a woven bail and modern wire swirls and spirals around the bail. Overall pendant size 35x65mm.

Deep, rich red tones run through this beautiful jasper stone, the bold, grounding colour that makes red jasper so striking and distinctive. The genuine stone, measuring 35x65mm overall with the bail, is fully encased in woven copper wire that wraps all the way around the stone, creating a more intricate, textured frame than a simple wire wrap. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, with modern wire swirls and spirals worked around it, a more contemporary decorative detail that gives this pendant a distinctive character of its own. The whole piece is treated with liver of sulphur for a rich, dark earthy finish that deepens the warmth of the red jasper beautifully.

Design Notes

The red jasper stone is fully encased in woven copper wire shaped to follow the stone’s near-rectangular form, the weaving running all the way around the stone for a more intricate, textured finish. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, with modern wire swirls and spirals worked around it as the key decorative detail. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
