All our products are handmade with the greatest care. Our guarantee to you is that we will always despatch items in the highest standard possible. Spirales is a sole trader, bringing together two makers under one name, Tammy Betson's handcrafted wire-wrapped jewellery and Mark Betson's original paintings. Each item is entirely our own work.

Made to Order & Stock

Not everything listed on the website is in stock, as some items are made to order. Although we do our best to keep a wide selection of semi-precious stones in stock, sometimes we will need to order materials in for your order. Depending on the stone and where in the world it is sourced from, this can take anywhere from one to four weeks before we are able to complete your order.

In these cases, we will let you know as soon as possible so that you have the option to change your order to something that may arrive sooner, or to confirm you are happy to wait.

Original Artwork

All paintings listed on this website are original works by Mark Betson. As such, each piece is one of a kind and once sold will be marked as unavailable. Prints or reproductions are listed separately where available. All intellectual property rights in Mark's artwork remain with the artist.

Gemstone Information

All information supplied about various gemstones has been researched via other websites. We do not take any responsibility for the accuracy of any claims made about the properties of gemstones.

Returns & Refunds

Should you not be satisfied with a product once you have received it, please email us at spiralesdargent@gmail.com to explain your reasons. We will do our best to resolve the situation.

Refunds are accepted on a case by case basis, provided items are returned within 14 days (at your own cost) and have not been worn/used. Please email us prior to returning any item so that we know to expect it. Once the item has been received, we will refund the cost of the item (not the postage) to your bank account or via PayPal.

Please note that original artwork is non-refundable unless it arrives damaged. In the event of damage in transit, please photograph the item and packaging immediately and contact us at spiralesdargent@gmail.com within 48 hours of receipt.

If you placed an order and then change your mind, we are happy to refund you. However, please note that transaction fees charged to us are non-refundable, and these will be deducted from your refund.

Jewellery Care, Wire-Wrapped Pieces

Please note that our jewellery is not soldered. Because our pieces are made from twisted wire, care must be taken whilst wearing them. If items are pulled they may come out of shape, though it is usually possible to bend them back carefully. For this reason we find soldering unnecessary, but we are not responsible for items that become bent out of shape through wear.

Silver Care & Oxidation

Due to the nature of silver, care needs to be taken when wearing and storing your jewellery to increase its longevity. Silver can become tarnished if exposed to body creams, water, perspiration or sunlight, please do not wear it in the shower! The speed of tarnishing will vary depending on how the piece is kept and worn.

This process is called oxidation and all silver will oxidise over time. In our experience, silver-plated and fine silver tend to take on a warm golden aged colour over time (silver-plated will wear faster at the joints), while sterling silver typically takes on the more familiar dark/black colour. Once oxidation has occurred it can be put in a silver cleaning bath (we recommend Town Talk Silver Sparkle). It is best to regularly clean with the provided cleaning cloth.

You will notice that on some of our copper pieces we have intentionally accelerated this process as part of the design, by dipping the piece in a liver of sulphur solution.

When jewellery is not being worn, store it in an airtight, dark box away from moisture and sunlight.
