Orange Calcite Tree of Life Copper Wire Wrapped Pendant Necklace

A handcrafted statement pendant made in the UK, a warm orange calcite stone with a hand-twisted copper wire tree of life wrapped around it to hold it in place, finished with a woven bail. Overall pendant size 30x55mm.

Warm, glowing orange tones radiate from this beautiful calcite stone, a gemstone associated with energy, creativity, and warmth. Rather than encasing the stone in a traditional wire wrap, this design takes a different approach: a hand-twisted copper wire tree of life is wrapped directly around the stone, its roots and branches holding the calcite in place while the tree itself becomes the focal point of the design. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, and the whole piece is treated with liver of sulphur for a rich, dark earthy finish that contrasts beautifully with the warm orange of the stone.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece, not made to order. As a natural stone, every orange calcite has its own unique colour and character. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Design Notes

Unlike a traditional wire-wrapped pendant, the tree of life design is worked directly around the stone, fine copper wires twisted and shaped into roots and branches that wrap around the calcite, holding it securely while creating the tree form. The bail is woven with fine copper wire. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
