A handcrafted statement pendant made in the UK, a genuine 20x45mm malachite rectangle stone, wire-encased in oxidised copper with a woven bail, woven copper strands, and spiral details.

Rich green tones and natural swirling patterns make this handcrafted malachite pendant a bold and earthy statement piece. The genuine malachite stone, measuring 20x45mm, is encased in raw copper wire shaped to follow the stone’s natural form, then treated with liver of sulphur to deepen the copper to a rich, dark earthy tone. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, with additional woven copper strands wrapping around it and finishing in spiral details, adding layers of intricate texture that frame the stone beautifully without competing with it.

As a natural stone, every malachite has its own unique banding and patterning. This is a one-of-a-kind piece, not made to order. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Design Notes

The malachite stone is encased in raw copper wire, shaped to follow the stone’s form. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, with additional woven strands wrapping around it and finishing in spiral details. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation, giving a rich, dark earthy colour. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
