Chevron Amethyst Copper Wire Wrapped Pendant Necklace

A handcrafted statement pendant made in the UK, a genuine 20x50mm chevron amethyst rectangle, wire-encased in oxidised copper with a woven bail, woven copper strands running down one side, and a spiral finish.

Deep purple and white chevron bands stripe through this beautiful amethyst stone, the natural V-shaped patterning that makes chevron amethyst so visually distinctive. The genuine stone, measuring 20x50mm, is encased in raw copper wire treated with liver of sulphur for a rich, dark earthy finish. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, with additional woven copper strands running down one side of the stone and finishing in a spiral, adding asymmetric detail that frames the stone’s natural banding without competing with it.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece, not made to order. As a natural stone, every chevron amethyst has its own unique banding and depth. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Design Notes

The chevron amethyst stone is encased in raw copper wire shaped to follow the stone’s rectangular form. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, with additional woven strands running down one side of the stone and finishing in a spiral detail. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
