Rich pink tones with dark black veining run through this beautiful rhodonite stone, the striking contrast of colour that makes rhodonite so distinctive and eye-catching. The genuine stone, measuring 40x60mm overall, is encased in raw copper wire treated with liver of sulphur for a rich, dark earthy finish. The bail is woven with fine copper wire with additional wrapping around it, and two hand-formed copper wire flowers are worked over the face of the stone, a departure from the usual spiral details, adding a delicate, nature-inspired flourish that sits beautifully against the bold patterning of the rhodonite.

Design Notes

The rhodonite stone is encased in raw copper wire shaped to follow the stone’s form. The bail is woven with fine copper wire with additional wrapping around it. Two hand-formed copper wire flowers are worked over the face of the stone as the key decorative feature, each petal individually shaped from fine copper wire. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
