Pink Opal Copper Wire Wrapped Pendant Necklace

A handcrafted pendant made in the UK, a genuine pink opal stone, wire-encased in oxidised copper with wrapping around the bail and a spiral detail. Overall pendant size 25x40mm.

Soft, milky pink tones glow from this beautiful opal stone, the gentle, almost ethereal colour that makes pink opal so quietly captivating. The stone is encased in raw copper wire treated with liver of sulphur for a rich, dark earthy finish, the deep copper providing a striking contrast to the pale blush of the opal. The design is deliberately clean and unfussy, wrapping around the bail with a single spiral detail, letting the natural beauty of the stone take centre stage.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece, not made to order. As a natural stone, every pink opal has its own unique colour and character. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Design Notes

The pink opal stone is encased in raw copper wire with clean, minimal wirework, wrapping around the bail and finishing in a spiral detail that keeps the focus on the stone. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
