Design Notes

The lapis lazuli is encased in raw copper wire, wider than it is tall. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, with a decorative spirals of copper sweeping around it, adding contrasting texture and movement. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
