Labradorite Celtic Spiral Copper Wire Wrapped Pendant Necklace

A handcrafted pendant made in the UK, a genuine 30x50mm labradorite stone wrapped in oxidised copper with simple wirework and a bold Celtic spiral across the base.

Soft grey and green tones move through this labradorite stone with a quiet, understated beauty, a more subtle stone than some, but with a depth and character all of its own. The genuine stone, measuring 30x50mm, is encased in raw copper wire treated with liver of sulphur for a rich, dark earthy finish. The wirework is deliberately simple and clean, letting the stone speak for itself, with a bold Celtic double spiral worked across the base of the pendant as the defining decorative detail. The bail is woven with fine copper wire. An earlier piece in the collection, with a more restrained, organic feel.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece, not made to order. As a natural stone, every labradorite has its own unique character. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Design Notes

The labradorite stone is encased in raw copper wire with clean, simple wirework that frames the stone without over-decorating it. A bold Celtic double spiral is worked across the base of the pendant as the key decorative feature. The bail is woven with fine copper wire. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
