A handcrafted statement pendant made in the UK, a genuine amethyst stone, wire-encased in oxidised copper with a woven bail and a decorative spirals.

A dark purple amethyst with slight chevrons cabochon, deep, atmospheric, and endlessly captivating. The genuine stone is encased in raw copper wire treated with liver of sulphur for a rich, dark earthy finish, the bail is woven with fine copper wire and finished with a decorative spirals sweeping around it, the stone is held in place by a square gilt coloured copper wire combining two different textures and colours for a rich, layered detail that frames the stone beautifully.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece, not made to order. As a natural stone, every amethyst has its own unique patterning and depth. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Design Notes

The amethyst is encased in raw copper wire and gilt coloured copper wire. The bail is woven with fine copper wire, with a decorative spirals of copper sweeping around it, adding contrasting texture and movement. The copper is treated with liver of sulphur to force natural oxidisation. Copper will naturally darken further over time and can be buffed with a wire brush to restore its warmth. As each piece is made around a unique stone, no two pendants are ever the same.
